Meet My Pet Rats

The new boys had their first vet check up today. Hex is doing just fine, but Hue has the start of a respiratory issue. He’s on Baytril now for 2 weeks. Poor little guy just keeps sneezing! I tried to give him his first dose of the meds tonight, but I’m having a hard time with it. So I’m leaving him in his carrier by himself for a little while with the baytril mixed into a dab of baby food to see if he’ll take it.

Everyone at the vets office was “ooh-ing” and “aaah-ing” over them too. They said he’d come down with “too-cute-itis” and would need to stay at the office longer.

I just hope Hue will go along with the meds and get better quickly!
